One of the main elements to this story is the ice planet. We shot these scene on lake Huron during one of the last days before all the ice and snow melted.
How do we haul all this gear out onto a frozen lake?…You cant afford to do that on an indie film!.
Knowing the area helped and we were able to drive all our gear right down to the shoot location. There was a nice plateau of ice remaining that we used for our reveal shots.
