Canon 5d teaser HD

This is a small clip of 1080p HD footage taken with a Canon5D out the back of a our improvised “dolly” van. It corresponds to the first part of the timelapse camera clip which was pointed out the front of the van.

When I was arranging access, security commented, “you really like these old buildings don’t you?”… from the first time I looked through the cracks of the  locked doors to peep inside I knew I had to get in there to shoot….the location was magnetic!

I remembered some info I found while hunting for a number for the buildings owners…It was story of a man who’s grandfather worked at the factory, he used to go meet him there after he was done work…A whole generation that’s now mostly passed away spent their lives working in here. This building has a history that’s forgotten and of little interest to most people these days. I guess that’s part of  why I wanted to get inside to shoot some images. I had a gut feeling this old grandfather would be torn down before long…It’s been nice to have a chance to record the existing building in as much detail as possible  before it’s also erased from existance.
