This is a test composite of three separate HDSLR shots and CG.
There’s loads of technical issues… but this clip is not about that…it’s focusing on the experience of executing from shoot setup to comp… It’s a stepping stone to the more challenging shots coming up. :0
I’ll try to do a walk through vid showing and [...]

This next one is a kinda crappy clip (behind the scenes for the vid posted above) with the timelapse camera pointing in the wrong direction, but posted the BTS vid anyways…tried to make it a bit interesting with some processing and upbeat muzak.

Costume and props shots.
Mainly checking out how the lights and props look shot on location
++++++++++++++
Had some questions (from other places) about the props in this shot. >
The main visor prop is a old AM/FM headset we picked up for $4.
The radio circuit board was cut out an the batteries and on/off switch were wired to [...]

Some extra pickup shots that will hopefully add to the footage we already have tracked and added our GC robot into.
This is one of the techs that is monitoring the copbot as it moves around in the garage.
This is a 2.4:1 ratio output for a more cinema screen feel.

Not a completely fair comparison, but using what was on hand I took some shots with the T2i using a Sigma 10-20mm lens. The 5D shot was taken using a Canon EF24-70/2.8 L USM Lens.
Both shots at ISO800
First shot is the T2i second is the 5D MrkII

Tall did some minor tweaks on the animation-
I should have posted this earlier as it was done a couple weeks ago but i forgot.
There is another tweak after this clip…in it, Tal’s exported a 30fps file that should fix our speed inconsistency issues. Haven’t rendered it yet cause I forgot…just kidding…will render once a few [...]

Finally a render using the 5d footage tracked by Victor Wolansky of FXphd.com.
Some alignment issues…will have to check it out, cause it was all lined up a while back when I set it up…ARGH!!
*No shadows or processing done (cept slight levels adjust) this is basically the raw LW render output.

progress clip.
Since we only have one animation file for the copbot right now, I think when the Modo renders are finalized, I’ll do another set using this Pftracked movie and drop in the bot animation.
