Image Modeling 01 (3D scenes from 2D photos)
This clip shows the results of a process called image modeling or photogrammetry - how we turn 2D photographic pano backplates into 3D scenes. This allows us to film more footage using virtual cameras. These will be used to augment the traveling HD footage filmed with the Canon 5D. *In the video I said “this is a partial backplate”…what I should have said is “this backplate is a partial panorama”….was getting tired.
